Hi! My name is Lisa (LisaW) and I am 46. My partner is Rob (RobC) and we live in Norwich and have recently bought a property in Quesada. We hope to be spending 6 months per year in Spain as from next year. We have already benefitted greatly from using this site and thought the time was right to join.

We are looking forward to meeting lots of new friends in Spain. We both like travelling, eating out and the odd the odd drink or three! Especially red wine and tapas.

I love keep fit classes, Zumba and swimming as a good way to have a laugh and meet new people. I will also be looking for good recommendations for manicures and hairdressers when we arrive. My Spanish is very basic but when we live there I would like some lessons.

We look forward to meeting you in the spring.

Hi Lisa, and welcome to this fab forum. You'll be sure to get lots of info from others on here re Zumba, swimming and recommendations :-)

My partner Peter and I bought our place in Quesada nearly 2 years ago and are so looking forward to the time when we can say, like you and Rob, we are going to be spending 6 months a year there! Although similar in age to you both, we are still governed by school holidays so every break we manage to get in Quesada is cherished.

You'll find lots of lovely restaurants in and around Quesada, catering to every taste and budget. We enjoy trying out as many as we can and are developing quite a list of firm favourites. Peter's a beer man, liking to tickle his taste buds with new beers, whilst I enjoy a good red wine. And we will be getting another chance when we go back to Quesada for a few days on Tuesday :-)

Regards

Gilly

Hi. It's lovely to speak to people with similar interests. We particularly like Thai food. We are in England now till March but will be in Quesada for 6 weeks including Easter. Hope you have a nice few days away from this awful weather. Do you spend time in Quesada over the Xmas hols. Lisa

Hi Lisa, not made it for Christmas yet but it's on our list :-) We are normally there over Easter but are off to Vegas in April. After this break we won't be back until 7th July as daughter has her GCSE's so study has to come first! We also enjoy Thai food and you'll find yourself well catered for. In a few short hours we'll be in Quesada planning our evening out :-)
