Regarding locksmiths - one that is used a lot in our area is
HackettLocksmith. Don't know about his prices, but he has been going for years - so must say something! He does car doors; house and garden gate locks etc. 24hr callout service!

No need for a locksmith. You can buy the barrels in any ferreteria and easily fitted. Or just move ones from grills to doors etc.

Hi blackvelvet, I used Hacketts locksmiths when I moved on 2 years ago and found them very professional and at a reasonable price

have to agree with Glynn bought barrels from ferreteria very cheap compared to the u.k.,, and very quick and easy to change.

I agree too. It's really easy to change barrels, save the locksmiths for other new locks if need be. Sometimes it's good to have an extra lock on the outside of the front doors, even with a grill. We have extra indoor front door locks as thumbscrews top & bottom for night times so as not to need lots of keys to get out in an emergency.
Luckily my husband put our extra locks on, but even I could have easily changed the barrels.
