Holiday home

Postby neilcurtis » Mon Dec 03, 2012 11:47 pm

Hi, im looking to purchase a holiday home in the Quesada area, I joined the forum earlier in the year and you all provided valuable info. After months if research we nearly bought an apartment in the Doña pepa area, however the agent wasn't what I call straight, if you know what I mean.
Anyway we are now back looking and after a small holiday apartment 1 or 2 bed. Is anybody aware of any for sale, privately or via an agent?

Thanks
Neil

Neil

Speak as you find but we used QSD and found them to be excellent.

They handled everything for us which is great when you are in the UK and dont have the control of being in the same country. This included the legal side and setting up direct debits etc for all utilities, suma etc so we dont have to worry about arriving to surprise bills or the threat of disconnection!

We did not find the guy who hepled us at all pushy unlike another agent who although female and very pleasant on the eye was very pushy!!

We bought two years ago in August in the Donna Pepa II area and love it.

Good luck

Paul

A friend of mine recently purchased on Atalaya and she used the Prop shop - she highly recommends them. Also as far as I am aware sapphire properties have apartments on DP for sale but have never used them.Good luck!

When I bought my house nearly two years' ago I used Villas Amarillas in Quesada. They were excellent, they even sorted out the NIEs for us so that all we had to do was turn up in Spain and they took us everywhere to get everything done. I still pop in for a chat when I come over to Quesada .........

Hi Neil,

Good to hear from you again.

There are some great bargain properties around at the moment, going by the Property Shop website. Most with furnishings included and some appear to be furnished to a pretty high standard too. Wish we had had such a good choice of properties at such incredible prices 8 years ago.

It's a shame you have had a bad experience with an estate agent, but glad it hasn't put you off your search. As long as a 'recommended' reputable solicitor is used for the buying process (not one recommended by the estate agent though!) things should hopefully go smoothly when you find a property.

Hope all goes well. Keep us updated.

Jan.
