Looking to buy a permanent home in Quesada

Postby Joyjoy » Wed Mar 03, 2021 9:18 pm

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are looking to buy a home in Quesada ASAP. We came out there last year with MASA and loved Quesada. My husband plays a lot of golf so I’m hoping to meet new friends for drinks and girlie afternoons. As soon as we can fly out to Spain, we are going to stay 2weeks and hopefully buy our new home in the sun. Is there a good expat social gathering in Quesada?

Regards

We came for a week and loved the place and found a fabulous villa during that week. My husband also plays golf and we have a great social life with his golf buddies. I also belong to the Quesada Ladies Club who meet every Tuesday afternoon, when there is not a Pandemic, and we do some fun stuff. Hope you find your dream propery.

Hi, I’ve just read your message about coming to Quesada. Well if you’re interested my villa is up for sale and I have a truest amazing view overlooking Quesada golf course. It has just gone on the market so no pictures as yet, but the agents are Imobillaria.

You can’t go wrong in quesada, it’s a really mixed nationality place, a lot of English and Irish. But there are all European nationalities there and we have never met any that are not friendly and personable.

The golf club is a really good place for meeting people, as is the two clubs the former JRs and the crown green club next door. Get into halfway house for breakfast and you’ll meet many Brits as you will at Quesada fish and chips and Oscars, but the many bars too are ideal for meeting people.
This site will direct you to many meeting places and you can private message people and arrange a meeting for a coffee.
Do not rush into buying until you have spent plenty of time looking around, there are many good deals to be had. Do not put a deposit down until you are 100% sure and have a survey done no matter what the estate agent says.. when they say it’s not a done thing in Spain .. it’s not true! Choose your own solicitor. Not one recommended by an estate agent.
When you can next go, send me a private message and my wife and I, if we are out there, will be happy to have a coffee or tea with you at one of the coffee bars by the arches and let you know about what we have learned.
Buying Euros through Currencies direct after you have opened a Euro bank account is one recommendation and giving your solicitor Power to pay from your bank account in lots of €30,000 is away of saving money. Your bank charges large fees for transferring €30k +
