Moving to Quesada

Postby jolodoyle » Wed Nov 07, 2012 2:01 pm

:DHi everyone,
my wife and I are planning to move to Quesada, and would appreciate any advice on where 'not' to live in that area, if there are such places.
Also if there are any of you looking to sell, a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property with a view of the lakes or sea, we would be very interested.
We look forward to joining you all soon and welcome any help you can give in the meantime.:)
regards,
John and Lorna

Hi John and Lorna, great your planning a move to Spain, all round Quesada is very nice but if you go to topic" purchasing a property" on the forum there is some
very good advice, one of which is to have a walk round all the area,s to get a feel of the places, we are on Lo Marabu which I love but Dona Pepa is also very nice

Hi. We have a quad on Lo Marabu for sale, which has three bedrooms, a bathroom upstairs and a toilet downstairs. We also have our own swimming pool. We have views of the lake. It is 135,000 Euros if your interested.

We have good views of the lakes from our balcony (but aren't up for sale!). I think that we are probably about the right distance away from them - to avoid the mosquitos!!

We have a Euromarina built 3 bed, 2 bath villa in a 540sq mtr plot with own pool and fabulous views to lakes and sea. It is in La Fiesta II and is on the market for 295,000 euros if you are interested.

Hi

We have not long moved from Lo Marabu (thankfully we sold our quad, but nothing close to €135k!!) Anyway the reason we moved is we just hated it, it's too noisy, constant dogs barking & noisy neighbours, & not to mention when the holiday makers come out in July/August!! Doña Pepa & upwards is so much classier & not as noisy. Hope this helps!

Good luck.

I think you are rather generalising Beth. Lo Marabu is set over a large area and it depends where you live on any development (or road) as to whether you have constant dogs barking, noisy neighbours and noisy holiday makers. You seem to have been very unlucky to have all those things going on around you. We have a property on Lo Marabu and even in the height of Summer we have had visitors comment on how quiet it is. An advantage for 'all year living' is that Lo Marabu seems to have more permanent residents than some of the 'holiday type' complexes around Dona Pepa and therefore can feel less of a ghost town in winter and it helps that it's near the shops & Supermarkets.

Sorry just had to defend the generalised negative comments!

As for prices, I would have thought that a property with a private pool might command a slightly higher price than one without.
