Moving to Quesada

Postby drhman » Sun Jun 30, 2013 4:52 pm

Hi to everyone,

My wife and I are moving to Quesada in October 2013, and looking for a long term rental, possible looking to buy if we settle in.

We are fed up of the UK, and have a opportunity for an exciting new chapter in our lives, and having visited Quesada we think it is the place for us.

On joining the "Talk Quesada" forum today I feel we have made the first step in meeting new friends and belonging to community - looking forward to much more.

I have enjoyed browsing the forum.

Congratulations on a friendly site and thank you for accepting us as members.

Dave & Tam

Perhaps it is worth mentioning here that we are looking for a villa for long term rental .....

Quesada is a great place to live. We moved there in 2001 but sadly had to move back for family reasons.
This forum's great for all the information and advice you'll need. When we lived in Quesada all we had was local papers, postcards to read in the shops of what clubs were on, up coming events etc.. We met some great friends there that we still keep in touch with. Our plan is too buy a holiday home there for longer stays and eventually move back in the long term. We are going back to Quesada this Friday for a fortnight to show my son where he spent his early years and also to meet up with some of his old school buddies.
I wish you all the best of luck Dave & Tam and I'm 100% sure you'll love Quesada and all its offerings as we did.

Hi Dave and Tam

:text-welcomewave: We are sure you are going to enjoy living in Quesada.

We moved here permanently 2 years ago and love every minute of it.

There are plenty of clubs and activities in the area. Although I haven't found a "sheet metal welding" club yet.

Good luck with finding accommodation.

I am sure you will enjoy living on Quesada, a lovely place and all areas nearby, especially the beaches. Loads of clubs for all interests. We have been here for 14 yrs. although I go back to Uk frequently to see family,
its nice having the best of both good luck.

Hi Dave and Tam, (my first welcome posting), I too joined the Forum very recently, acquired a new home there last month so now I am trying to discipline myself to monitoring and participating in TQ, work interferes. :violin:

Welcome.

Welcome!!
I'm sure you find you've made the right choice. We've been here 4 years and not looked back.
Quesada is in a good location for all manner of things, and if you think things might be a bit quiet here, look a little further afield for your entertainment......this weekend is the Guardamar del Segura "Moors & Christians" pageant which is one of the best in the area, and only a 10-minute drive away. It is also worth making use of the variety of bus trips available from "Davids" coaches and "Rosa Tours" which can show you some very beautiful parts of Spain you probably wouldn't venture to alone.
Good luck with finding a rental that you like.. there are lots around. Agent prices tend to be about 25% higher than if you can find a private rental. Make sure you get a legally binding contract and ensure that you are fully aware what you are paying for.

Enjoy
