Banks not accepting payments from U.K.

Has anybody had problems transferring money from a U.K. bank account to a Sabadell account? The bank here keeps refusing transfers from my English bank. They don't have a valid reason for not accepting transfers.

I transfer from HSBC and Lloyds quite a lot and do not have a problem with Sabadell also use Transferwise as it is cheaper and better rate

It's only been the last few transfers. The last 4 years worth have been trouble free

I transferred money last week from Barclays to Sabadell. no problems.

I transferred from Nationwide no problem.

Our monthly transfer came through today, no problem

I used HIFX to transfer money to Sabadell this morning with no problems.

I'm sure there was a similar post a few weeks ago where someone else had problems with transfers from a UK bank to Sabadell. I think iirc it was to do with Sabadell not having their NI number to tie up with their UK bank but I can't be 100% sure. The best thing is to ask in your branch of Sabadell.

Pesumably you've asked otherwise you wouldn't be able to assert that it's not a valid one!

If you have a UK address then create a Starling online bank account and add a Euro account to that.
Then go into your Sabadell branch and set-up an appointment with the manager. If he can't/won't resolve the problem and offer some compensation, or if you're just fed-up with Sabadell, transfer all of your DDs etc over to the Starling Euro account and close the Sabadell account.
