Building regulations

are there any rules regarding building work in the summer months in this part of Spain in residential areas. I was thinking about noise pollution and dust during holidays.

Have been watching a house be built near to me over the last year , from the demolishing of the existing property to the construction of the new dwelling . The workers start 8 am without fail ( pile driving at one stage ) and usually finish around 6 pm in the evening , Monday to Friday . They have breaks during the day about 11 am and again about 2 pm and they worked all last August . On the other hand some of the local English builders pack up in August because of the heat . It's a case of horses for courses i'm thinking .

No, they can work. Most of them stop work in August because of the heat and it's the traditional closing down period for many. However, if they have a timetable or budget to meet then they continue.

I saw in one of the free papers last year, that during August, outside manuel workers were limited to 6hours per day with the usual breaks,i sure it was a government ruling.in certain areas noisy outside work is,nt permitted during siesta hours

I feel sorry for anybody living beside a building site as it must be dirty, dusty and noisy. Earplugs..could help!

As long as you have permission then you can do when, and what, you like. Do as the Spanish do - no respect for their neighbours - as much noise, shouting and machinery as they think necessary.....

Permission from who?
My neighbour is refurbishing his kitchen at the moment.
Does he need permission for that?
It sounds like his workers are in my house
