Wanted: Watch - Automatic Winding

If you plan to spend €1,500 I’d suggest you ask your son to choose a watch that he really likes. Watches, like everything else are a personal choice. I wonder what an Omega would cost? The drawback with expensive watches is the cost of so called servicing and as for replacing the battery, that’s an arm and leg too!
It’s special to have a good quality watch especially if it has a sentimental value. My Mum left me her Omega but as I already had one, I gave it to my daughter. I never remove mine unless to have a battery fitted every 3 years. I shower, swim but never remove it. I lost the first watch my husband bought me so never again!

My husband still has the watch his parents bought him for his 21st. Sadly, only wears an Apple Watch in today’s world.

There are horological shops in Alicante...Rolex is one I know of...but worth a day trip out to find one .

Quera is Rolex/Tudor/Paneria and a few others in Alicante.
Amaya, nearby - Omega, Zenith

Both of these shops are pretty high end - so unless budget over 3.5k min - look elsewhere in Alicante. El Corte Inglese also nearby.

For ideas? Try chrono24.es one of the worlds biggest market places on watches - can drill down prices / sizes and get some ideas of what your budget can buy you.

Christopher Ward make some decent watches around £1000 if you want to buy new. Used a little cheaper. British design, swiss built. Winning a few awards these days. Bremont are better but up a price point. Now manufacture in UK. I like a nice mechanical watch but can't justify it to myself to buy Rolex, Patek Philippe etc
