Can anyone please suggest a good fly spray? I am using a Mercadona one - it's useless.

Also rubbish. I think the flies just swim in it to cool down. Two of them in the kitchen, sprayed the whole room with Raid and closed the door on them. Still flying around when I opened it an hour later.

I've tried them all, from the cheap supermarket brands through the ones in the Chinese shops and up to Raid.
Pretty sure they have been watered down so much by regulations and directives that they don't seem to work anymore.
Unless you spray the thing directly with a quarter of the can none of them seem to work. Even the very expensive Zum (€8.80 in Carrefour) seems to fail.

Battery operated tennis racket type thing seems the best.

But surely Hair Lacquer turns flies into glides?

I have bought the flypapers from Amazon, one fly stuck to it then fell off. Since then none have gone near it. The flies are driving me loopy so we have bought another fly swat & found this is the way to get results, after I have said in an unladylike fashion "I'll have you, you bugger" and then bash the living daylights out of them.

Mine is the blue terminator and sits next to me on the settee. Together we eliminated 32 of the buggers last Sunday :-)
