What do you want to boost? The firestick connects to the internet by WiFi so as long as the WiFi or internet speed is good then it should be fine.

WiF can be very poor in some properties especially the ones built with a lot of reinforcing rods in the pillars and floors and ceilings so an extender helps to transfer the wifi signal also do not forget that the download speed quoted is the speed entering you router not what speed is coming out as wifi
