Checking with the town hall is a good idea.

However, I would think that having Spanish as a second language could be a necessity as, no doubt, it easily could be a Spanish elderly person who needs care.

Also may be a good idea to check if the qualifications you have are compatible with the necessary qualifications in Spain.

It's not easy finding work in Spain these days but worth asking the questions.
