I BADLY NEED A MAN, OR A STUDENT

NOW I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION


We have the need for someone interested in musical/theatre, if you are active retired/ or a student studying this subject, and you have a little, or lots, or even no knowledge of technical sound equipment but wold have an interest/hobby in doing/learning more, our sound technician needs assistance for Charity work with theatre groups. This may only involve one or two half days a week as a buddy, so if you are bored of hanging around, like music and theatre come and join us and meet new friends. Hi ,I can't probably help. I'm a qualified sound engineer etc,also a giging musician. I live in Spain,campoamor area,but I do go abroad to work for a couple of weeks at time . But I be glad to help when I'm back in Spain.

If you're really stuck, i may be able to help out, until you can find someone. I used to be Head of Lights, at 'Hall Green Little Theatre', in the West Midlands - taught Stage Lighting, Stage management & Set Design at West Bromwich College & have basic knowledge of Revox B77, optical cueing tape decks. I'm about 20 miles away, so don't really want to commit myself to anything long-term - but will try to help out if you're stuck (or if you think I can help). Tony

Oh Tony Thank you so much for your reply, I appreciate your distance and as this is a voluntary/charity position I understand the distance problem, however, we rehearse at The Astaurius at Punta Prima, currently every Thursday morning 10-2 but this time may change in mid September, and if you are ever this way please call in as we would welcome any help we can get. Our sound man Roger is getting to grips with things as we have mixers, mics, speakers etc but he also has two theatre groups with productions maybe twice or three times a year, where as our group TAABS has gigs for charity almost monthly, in fact prior to our sound and musical director leaving after several years with u,s we performed last year 30 gigs including the Boulevard and Orihuela Catherdral, and now we are struggling alone, we have eight gigs booked so far this year, don't get me wrong the singers are great but without the sound being spot on we will lose return gigs. Anyway thanks again for your offer and please call in and see us. If you are near The Emerald Isle on 11th October that's our next gig as I have had to turn others down until we are confident again.
