Working from home in Quesada

Postby steveandjane » Fri Oct 10, 2014 10:59 am

Hi I am a fully registered Tattooist in the UK I am wanting to work from home in Quesada when we come back over

This would be simply to reduce costs as we could not afford to rent a shop in Quesada at the moment

I work from home in the UK and all that was required to register was a visit from environmental health to check on the cleanliness of the premises and go through health and safety issues.

Who would I need to contact to register in Spain? im assuming it would be the local Ayumamiento but could be wrong.

Any advice would be appreciated

regards

Steve

Your considerations should be that you will be changing your domestic property into commercial premises, therefore more annual property tax.
And you will also be classed as autonomo(self employed) which means you will have to also pay social and national insurance, contact your asesor for this or do it direct with agencia tributaria de seguridad social.
Plus you will also have to think about public liability insurance.
Have you tried to speak to martin at the cutting crew in quesada, near mulberrys,he used to have a room to rent,it could be a cheaper option.
Good luck
