Saturday Moncayo Market
Saturday Moncayo Market

Does anyone know if there is a problem with the market. Went last Saturday and it was closed. A lot of people like me were not aware. I have since heared some of the permanent stall holders are having to clear out their permanent facilities.
Not sure the reason or if this is only temporary.

Hi Guapa
Thank you for posting that and keeping us up to date. I do recommend copying and pasting the text rather than just linking or taking a screenshot as then that text is searchable by the forum and Google.
Thanks

Moncayo market is open tomorrow the 22nd March as usual . The changeover of management to the Procomobel Center has already brought some improvement to the market. They have been working hard to put everything in place as quickly as possible following the unexpected closure last week by the previous management (now gone). The Cabins owned by that same person have all been removed now and the traders will be there as usual tomorrow, but temporarily operating with the traditional method of a market stall. There is the central Spanish cafe and the cafe within the Procomobel Center itself, which will be open and the many food trailers offering fast foods and churros etc will also be operating. The new management can now begin to make their planned improvements to the car parking areas and will be beginning to bring in new cabins over the next weeks.. So it is market day on Moncayo as usual with the majority of your favourite traders. We look forward to seeing you at the market between 9am and 2pm.
Good to hear! - This info should be helpful to lots of people.

Does anybody know what has happened to the Moncaya market at Procomobel? All of the cabins have gone and it looks just like a boot sale now?

Hi all,
Procomobel are taking over the running of the market. The cabinas MIGHT be replaced with wooden sheds. The traders have to pay for them at €90 3m square, 140€ 3X6 Per month. Ground rent extra, between €12-24 per week, €48 for four week month, €60 for five week month.
minimum. Originally the owner wanted €300 per month for the shed each month!!! plus ground rent.
On the Saturday morning the market was closed, most of us found out that we had to remove all of our stock by Tuesday afternoon, or we would loose it as the cabins were being taken away. Nice.Being a trader there for over a year and talking with the other traders, the general feeling is we have all been treated very badly, no notice, information whatsoever. A majority of the traders that were there have basically said, 'forget it'. A real shame as the market was getting really good for everyone.
