Dont know if this is the best place to post this .
However general warning i was attacked outside Hamiltons butchers in benijofar on wed at 12 ish a mid 20s romainian Girl approached as i got out of car started asking for work grabbed my arm and tried to push me over whilst ripping my watch a rolex from my wrist she had difficulty because she scratched my wrist. She immediately ran to a waiting dark grey audi hatch back which speed off towards a torri. Reg was dj211rp . Police were called etc but thought i would warn that they are now getting aggressive going for older people alone or couples and seem to be after watches jewelry rather than bags and wallets this lot were reported in guadamar last week . So be careful and dont give them a chance. But also dont fight back they can be dangerous. Was supprised at howmany recent arrest photos from area they have on record. Would have posted earlier but my internet was down and taken until gone 6 today for telfi to get man round although they promised wed afternoon and all day thurs and friday ...not impressed with their service.

Because the guarda said so also car and girl was in guadamar last week so not just my and witnesses description but other incidents also Think they know where these criminals are coming from . If you saw the number of mug shots they have of pick pockets and muggers that have been processed in the area over the last 2-3 years virtually all Romanian. Sad thing is she may be like many of the roundabout girls that they have removed in recent months and be a slave of romanian mafia group but they wont know till they catch her and the driver.

It matters not what she is what matters is our safety. We have been told in past to ensure your purses wallets etc are in strong bags not to leave in cars or trollies as they were going for money credit cards passports especially using distraction to get their target. Thats changed yes round supermarkets and in markets this is still a problem but now the target is jewelry and watches. Easily ripped from peoples bodies and targeting elderly and infirm single and couples . They can easily chuck away watches and jewelry so if caught disposal is easier than bags . And if they dont have goods on them they cant be charged. Disposal is also easy either fenceing or melting down so much less risk than using credit cards and usually much more lucrative my rolex was worth 3-4 grand many are worth 10-20 grand gold bangels and necklaces several hundred at least where they are lucky to get more than a couple of hundred euros from bags. And above all less likely to get chased and caught by the elderly. Just warning to be more careful as police are overwhelmed even at off season . And above all this is spain more police and armed unlike uk where your lucky to See a copper let alone get it investigated so as they move north the uk can look forward to huge rise in this type of crime. Be careful be safe.

I can’t believe what I am reading here... I am incensed.... a gentleman who has been the victim of a nasty incident is being questioned. What difference does it make anyway??? Who cares what nationality they are or whether he is right or wrong.??? The responses say more about the people making them than they do about the original poster.....
Attitudes need to change, common sense and courtesy needs to prevail.... this forum has gone to pot....it’s all very amusing if it wasn’t so serious.
Thank you baldydave for your sharing your experience. Forewarned is forearmed so they say. I hope you recover soon from what must have been a very nasty issue to deal with.

I am not belittling the awful experience of being robbed.. (I don´t like to say mugged because it suggests the victim was a "mug" and I am sure he is not)...
What I am a bit unhappy about is saying that the robber is of a certain nationality when they plainly do not know... the person could be a Gypsy, Romanian, Bulgarian etc... but to "tar" all robbers as Romanians is plain wrong.... so is suggesting all Muslims are rapists and bombers.... just because some are...
