We still have a roof over our heads and food in our tummies and more besides so a lot better off than many Countries that don't even have clean water to drink.
I think if people experienced that kind of living they would be counting their blessings.
It is all about perception.

Now 1.0909 commercial rate.
How can it be worth it in the end. Is this someone who lives in Spain ? With either a pension or paid in UK sterling that has now dropped in value.
I believe in some places (airports etc) a pound wont even get you 1 euro !
To think UK was the second richest economy. Now 4th, in some reports 5th.

But if we adopt that attitude of the 1920s and ‘be grateful for our lot’, it won’t be long until our way of life has been eroded. I bought out here quite recently, December ‘15 (£1=€1.34) and my pensions, paid in Euros, have deprecated by 20%.
OK we survive and have a bit of fun but not as much fun as we did have. Not as many days away as we did have. Nor are we saving as much as we did do.
If anyone gets the chance, have a look at ‘The Great Hack’ on Netflix it’ll show you how some of the British Public were hoodwinked and lied to, so that the Brextremists could get their way. And then, the Brextremists have the audacity to chant democracy and the will of the people to the 48%!

When the pound drops further and PSA in the guise of Vauxhall Motors close Ellesmere port. Try explaining the perception to the people effected.

Very true Benjy. I only chose Vauxhall Motors, because that BRITISH company is owned by the FRENCH in PSA (Peugeot Citroen) and the major shareholders of PSA are the French Government. I'm sure they are doing everything they can to stay in the UK (NOT).

I'm reminded of the Paul Simon song, "Slip slidin' away"...... now 1.0898
And the Brexiteers accused the 48% of propagating "Project Fear"

“Project Fear” was used by Brextremists instead of “shut up, I’m not listening”, whilst they plugged their ears with their forefingers and hummed, la, la, la, la, la.
