Argos in Spain

I just found this while researching help for Geraldine's topic on Beds. Although they don't appear to stock king-size beds or, apparently as far as I can see, any adult beds at all, it may be of interest for other items.

I would be interested to know if anyone has tried the delivery service to their address in Spain?

This is what it says on the website, as to why they don't stock the full range of items:

"Argos is renowned for its massive range of products. But unfortunately, there are certain restrictions that prevent us from shipping some items overseas, and some brands that the manufacturers won’t allow us to sell outside the UK.
For example, we can’t supply some mains powered electrical items due to compatibility issues between UK-designed electrical items and the Spanish power supply. However, all the ones we do sell conform to the appropriate safety legislation for use in Spain.
In addition, rather than arriving by Argos van, our deliveries are handled by the courier company DHL. That means we can deliver your order right to your door, anywhere in mainland Spain or the Balearics. However, a downside is that their fleet has only a single driver per van. So we can’t deliver larger or heavy items that would normally require a two man delivery, such as washing machines or sofas.
So that’s why we offer a smaller, specially selected range to our customers in Spain – although “smaller” still means over 8,000 different items! And we are continually adding to the range."

I have not used Argos, but have used littlewoodseurope.com fantastic service, order as much as you want with just 5 euro delivery, and sometimes free delivery! They have good sales too.

Hi Joolz,
Unfortunately Littlewoods don't appear to deliver to europe any longer. .going by the website link. Argos still deliver but the items are quite limited compared to Uk Argos supplies.
