Hi, we have a bird in our log burner no we are not going to barbecue it...any ideas how to get it out its very frightened.

You'll have to grab it and get it out, get a towel and put it over it and get it out like that.
Then cover the flue with wire to stop it happening again. Dad's had 2 in 20 years he just opened the door and it flew out

Its now gone up the flue so we have opened it up outside and hopefully it will get out.

May not get up, best leaving the fire door open, put some water (just a little) in side and just leave it and a door or window open.
It will eventually come out
If you get dirt in the water it’s still alive in the fire or chimney
