Brainwashing the kids

Not remotely the same and I'm more disturbed about the younger ones who are most impressionable.

Older kids can make up their own minds about global warming etc. and would be unlikely to face discrimination from their peers for taking opposing views, decline to dress up in football regalia and join the herd in cheering on a football team however and see what happens.

Going to watch anything nowadays is expensive, it’s not just football

Tennis although it’s my sport is very much a minority sport can cost you £250 a ticket. Watching a final about £1000.
Golf and cricket prices are similarly inflated.

Going to the theatre a new West End Production approx £200-300

Going to watch a live artiste £100-200 - with the exception of Peter Kay (£35)

Merchandise & Clothing again all ridiculous prices and don’t even think about eating or drinking at a venue!

When I lived in the U.K. I used to do all those things on a regular basis, but they were nowhere near those prices.

But in comparison football season tickets have not increased in the same way.

Feel like I’ve turned into my Dad, who always used to quote prices “Back in the Day”

As an England supporter I would support Wales or Scotland if they were playing in another match as they are part of the UK.
There’s the difference. A welsh fan this morning was saying “come on Senegal”.

Institutional brainwashing in UK begins as soon as you send your kids to school or turn on the TV.

It's algreat living here in Spain not watching nonsense about the royals, world wars or listening to far right political programmes

The mourning period for the late Queen was akin to North Korea on steroids

I agree that sport is indoctrinated from an early age. How else can it be explained that baseball is a major sport in the USA ? :D !
