In an interview on LBC today Billionaire businessman Lord Spencer was able to point to one big Brexit benefit in an interview with LBC today.

Speaking to Nick Ferrari, he praised Liz Truss for having “one of the most pro-business” stances in a generation as she batted away calls for a windfall tax on energy firms.

He urged her to sit down with business leaders, particularly the bosses of energy companies, and ask them what they would do to support the economy and improve the UK’s energy production credentials in return for her pro-business stance.

Touching on the thorny issue of Brexit, Spencer said there had been benefits from Britain leaving the European Union, such as caps on banker bonuses being removed.

NOTE: Anyone who thinks this post is a 'remoaner rant' is clearly missing the point.

All those who are resident CHOSE to live in Spain as opposed to Britain. Surely they should be more concerned how things affect their adopted country rather than the one they left. I suspect that many expats voted to remain because they wanted to retain the status quo rather than even considering that there might be benefits for the U.K. in leaving. Benefits, if any, will take many years to materialise and as always, the unexpected (Covid, War in Ukraine) will happen to derail plans. Smile and get on with life whatever way you voted. Life is a lot harder wishing for things you cannot change.

The benefits for most uk residents is that you are in Spain moaning and not in uk where very few are concerned with brexit problems for Spanish residents

REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT. NO BENEFITS IN LEAVING EUROPE. LOOK AT THE EURO/ POUND EXCHANGE RATE AND WHAT ABOUT THE EXTRA MONEY FOR THE NHS IN THE U.K. ANOTHER BREXIT LIE
WHERE ARE THE TRADE AGREEMENTS THAT WOULD BRING THE PRICES OF OUR CONSUMABLES DOWN. ANOTHER LIE
NORTHERN IRELAND THROWN UNDER A BUS WITH THE NI PROTOCOL. THE 90 / 180 day rule to be renegotiated but kicked into the long grass. I COULD GO ON AND ON
