I am trying to book car hire to pick up at alicante airport in Aug the cheapest I have found is €658 for 24 days can anyone recommend some that is cheaper

Hire yes tried them but €678 we have used them for 22 years not sure why the prices are so high but than you for replying

Prices are high because the do not have enough car in the fleet now due to Covid they did not order many new cars this year and the dealers have no stock to sell them to hire companies at the discounts they get

Yes I think that must be what the problem is but I now am not sure what we will do my husband is disabled so we need a car unless we just take a taxi from the airport and stay in our house for 3 weeks but then we will have a problem with shopping
Looks has if it might be easier to cancell our flight

Try Wheeles in Spain. Used them a couple of weeks ago and they were pretty reasonable.
