Extend stay beyond 90 days

Hello

I've contacted the consular office regarding extending stay beyond 90 days for special circumstances. I know what to do , to complete the application form to go in person to the local police station.

However, does anyone know the charges for extending your stay? I need to complete form 790 012. All this states is that the amount will be allocated at the Police Station

I assume it will be based on the number of days that you extend it . Is there a daily charge?

Non visa fee seems to be €17.49 for the Modelo 790-012 and €1.06 for each day of the extension.

Not wishing to pry into the circumstances which are prompting you to seek an extension but it'll be interested to see how this goes as I believe the range of qualifying justifications for the granting of extensions is quite narrow and limited to truly exceptional reasons.

Thank you for the help .Much appreciated. The reason for the extension is that a friend of mine came over at Xmas to visit his mother . She had a large bleed on the brain and is currently in ICU . Don't know long term prognosis
