Just one point. It wasn't me who said there was no self employed visa.
There is a freelance visa which allows you to go autonomo but you have to submit a business plan to justify it.

yeah there is a freelance one and like you've said you have to propose a business plan and you have to do so in your country of origin through the consulate. same as your visa and working permits etc also you have to have your private medical insurance before you come not once your here. its best she consults directly with the british consulate and the spanish consulate in london and with a lawyer and take it from there
