False money

Need some advice please

Sold something on this forum and got payed at my home with some genuine and some false money(half half)
Today went shopping in Mercadonna and that’s how I knew about it…

They wanted to call the Guardia!!!
Tried to explain everything to them and had some proof(likely)… to show them as well and they let me pay with my bank card and let me go…

I contacted the member on this forum but until now , no answer…?!?
It would surprise me that he did know about it as he sounded as a genuine, good person … but all together: I’m ripped off!

Due to my inside camera I have very good proof of the person handing me over the money and you can even see the first 5 numbers on the note that he handed me over
I Also have his car number plate on my outside camera…

Any advice?

Go to Guardia at Almoradi and denounce the person who paid you the money ,you may need a translator

Maybe report them to Alex if they are not replying to you.although I did read somewhere that false money was around.

Post on the Facebook group named and shamed Costa banca

name and shame we dont need them

You really need to report it because if the Police do a follow up from Mercadonna then you become suspect

You are correct: I’m the one who can be a suspect now and just like everywhere, I got filmed as well in the <mercadonna

Can you tell us what notes they were so we can all be aware.

Maybe he wasn't aware?

The police will investigate and set out to trace counterfeit money back to source. Innocent parties will not be punished.
