Hire car damage - Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi guys, friend had hire car damaged last week big dent under window now the same thing has happened to another friend coincidence? Has this happened to anyone else.

Perhaps it would be an idea to let people know where the cars were when they were damaged?
If both cars were vandalised in the same area, then it might be the work of a lone fruitcake.

Both of them in same location were there any other cars damaged or just those showing rental stickers

I only know of these 2 that's why I was asking if it has happened to anyone else

Were they from the same company by any chance? There have been stories of at least one of the less scrupulous companies deliberately damaging their own cars, in order to charge ludicrous amounts for damage.

No different companies.

car damage under window , bit vague cars have many windows front ,rear or side, were both cars parked in same spot could someone have reversed into them ?or open a door into them ,
