Hi could anyone recommend a good home insurance company we have just purchased an apartment in pueblo bravo and we need some insurance

We have our house insurance with Reale Seguros. We're in the process of making a claim for a burst pipe in the bathroom and they've been good and quick to deal with. Told us to get the repair done and they would reimburse the money. Their inspector came and took photos of the damage to all the walls and said no problem just forward on the quote and if our water bill was any more than normal they would reimburse the difference.

In Quesada I would recommend Generali (also known as Spanish Insurance) on C/ Los Arcos next to the British Dentist.

Having experienced a theft from our house of an iPhone (through a forced window) we found that MAPFRE were extremely good, efficient and very helpful.
Our claim was settled (sympathetically, without dispute and at a very fair valuation) within a week of submitting the required Gaurdia Civil report.

We found Mapfre very expensive . . . changed to Liberty Seguros via Salts Bay Insurance (Torrevieja and La Marina), very good service and English speaking.

We now get our house insurance from Liberty Seguros as they seem to be the only one who cover up to 1000 euros of water loss ( water Bill ) due to a water leak. I have had friends who have had an outside water leak outside , so did not know about it until their water Bill come in ( for 1000’s of euros) who have have had to just pay the Bill.
