How's this for parking!

How's this for parking!

Some cars do 'ave 'em!
Couldn't resist taking this photo a few weeks ago down by the Lemon Tree roundabout. This car pulled onto the pavement/walkway that leads onto the zebra crossing. Half the car was hanging out across the crossing in the path of the cars coming off the roundabout. An elderly Spanish couple got out and walked off, oblivious to their mistake. We were laughing but it was hard to imagine how anyone could mistake the crossing for a parking space. See the photo below- click on it to enlarge:

We couldn't believe it! - There was a police car parked up near where I was taking the photo as well. I bet if it had been us parking like that we would have been nicked!

Quesada high street is a nightmare for parking! So many people park at all angles - and you have to make sure that you don't hit them, whilst making sure that you don't hit jaywalkers. I think that anyone who is taking a driving test ought to have this area as park of it!!!

its the norm here ( if youre Spanish) My husband has driven for over 50 years (47 of those in the UK ) and never had a fine.In the 3 years we've lived here he has been towed away ( 140 euros) Parked causing a major obstruction (100 euros- the crime? He parked in a tight space and his front tyre stuck out ) .The last fine was for turning left as he left the car park at The British Market in Formentera ( 40 euros) He DID do that admittedly .He should have gone right and gone around the small island. They are JOKERS these Policia Locale
