IPTV box

IPTV box

Postby Tizzy74 » Sun Oct 10, 2021 5:20 pm

Hi again all. Another question, has anyone bought an IPTV box and if so, are they working and also what makes or company did you buy it from?

We looked on the market today and they have 4 different companies selling, not easy to know if they are ok or not until you have had it for a while.

thanks

They should give you a demo either at the market or if you already have a device such as a firestick, Android box, mag box or smart tv they’ll run a trial for you.

If you have a Firestick just load IPTV Smarters and load the IPTV service you want

I thinks it’s cheaper and easier to load an IPTV service on to your firestick however it can be a little fiddly to do if you don’t know your way around. Google is your friend though. I use a site called Troy Point which gives you step by step basic instructions. Remember to always use a VPN if you install your own IPTV service.

It`s worth noting that most IPTV providers that stream sky channels, premium sports channels and some films etc are doing so illegally and as such, they are prone to getting raided by the police and chased by the lawers of the copyrighted material owners which means occassionally, their streams go off-line as happened a few weeks ago. They usually find a way of getting their streams back up after a few days but it can be disruptive.
Also worth noting as generalisation, the cheaper the IPTV service provider is, the more likely it is that the streams with suffer from buffering and freezing and this is often because they sell the service cheap and have lot more subscribers which dilutes the bandwidth of the streams.
There are Android TV and Amazon firestick compatable TV/film streaming apps that are completely free as D.C. has
indicated but a little fiddly to set up.
Locally, TV Technology are known for being one of the most reliable IPTV providers but I think they are also one of the more expensive ones. " You pays your money and takes your choice"

Jpeg - May I ask if you are a legally registered worker or entity? if so, please advise of the name of your company or registration

There´s a few things. people should be aware of relating to Amazon Firesticks and perhaps those that offer them for non Amazon related services.

Below is more for those considering new equipment or a new service - rather than existing owners of Amazon Firesticks.

For those being offered Amazon Firesticks with hacked services. These are not the optimal pieces of equipment for these services, underpowered and have a number of limitations. They are mostly offered in this format as can buy cheaply and hack, then sell to clients at often an inflated price.

Putting the services aside for one minute - in order to get the best out of any service you need to choose the correct equipment - `people offering shortcuts which include compromised / hacked hardware, is not the optimal start.

Amazon Firesticks are best for Amazons own eco system. They are cheaply skinned android sticks. Amazon also in the past has caused issues by blocking Firesticks used for services outside their defined parameters - IE outside software.

Less than scrupulous sellers push this equipment as the familiarity of Amazons name, is recognisable for most, but the Firesticks are miles away from the best equipment for subscription based services and other equipment with bespoke software will both outperform the Firesticks as well as offer more features and better overall integration.

Simply put, i´ve never seen any legal companies or experienced telecommunications companies selling new Firesticks for non Amazon services.

It's not just about the box, just as important - or probably more - is the service you use on it.

Many for instance will decry MAG boxes but with the right service provider they are still perfectly adequate for purpose.

For instance I've been using a MAG332 for some 3 years and have had zero problems with it.

I don't expect Paul to agree with that and probably popo the MAG box but that's his perogative, I can only speak from my own experience.
