Keep the story going

then we decided to watch some FOOTBALL either on TV or go to a game......

UNFORTUNATELY!! We couldn't get a good reception, and as we were on an island there was no chance of getting off it before the early evening - all the women breathed a sigh of relief, and everyone settled down to eat their potted crab sandwiches!! The sunset was something to behold. Suddenly, in the sky ...... (you can't possibly play football in the sky - that is definitely banned!!!)

we saw a bright light and a large silver UFO landed silently on the beach. Through the shadowy dim light of the hastening dusk we saw the thin outlines of the aliens hovering tentatively towards us...

they came and asked us

if we would like to come with them. In a flash we were whisked up into the space craft that hovered overhead. What would be our fate, we were all wondering, when a bearded alien came towards us and beckoned us to go with him into another room. We nervously entered the room, and awaiting us was

SKY sports and the football match was on, Fulham V West Brom

It was a futuristic hospital ward and the aliens appeared to be laughing. Through the simultaneous translation system we could hear them remarking on the strange sight of grown-up human-beings pushing a miniature sphere around with their feet and head. They were watching this on the hovering giant screen above our heads. The aliens beckoned us to lay down on the surgical trolleys. We were extremely anxious but powerless to resist. However, their gentle demeanour, at this moment, gave us nothing to fear for our safety.

I give up. All I wanted to do was watch a football match and have been.....

trying to do so for days - but then found out that there is much more to life than watching grown men kick a ball around - and have to pay (either Sky or the club) for the dubious pleasure!!

One of the aliens came over to me and put a large glass globe over my head. He had one on his head, and the two globes were connected by a tube. This was the way that they were going to communicate with us! I could hear the drone of his Martian language in the distance, but the words in English came over loud and clear. At the same time I was drifting into a haze of euphoria - and all those silly thoughts (expecially of football!!) were leaving my body. I just wanted .....

to enjoy the moment but then realised we had been abducted by aliens and they were experimenting on our brains. In my peripheral vision I could see a white coated Alien with a large syringe coming towards me.....
