La carta de invitación

The British Embassy advises, as per the details published on Gov. UK, that the Carta de Invitación is only likely to be asked for by Spanish border control if the traveller doesn´t have a return ticket, or can´t prove sufficient funds for their stay, so highly unlikely to be required for a holiday visit.
