Can anyone of a greater intelligence than me (not difficult) explain to me in words of one syllable or less why on earth England does not opperate a non return policy, by that I mean anyone that goes to an active jihadist country should not be allowed back into England, once they are out, they stay out. They are quick to come to England to sample the delights of subsidised housing, free health care, free education, in fact just apply and your wish will be granted, ( just like the pensioners who have lived and worked here all their lives and contributed all of their working lives and paid into the system and then have to fight for every penny in their old age).
These young jihadies can be tracked on their passports where they go and can be stopped on their return. They can put to use their bomb making skills elsewhere. It doesn't matter if the are first generation refugees or were born in this country, DON'T LET THEM BACK IN.

And on a similar(ish) subject...I've never heard of any one need to refer to themselves as a "British Christian", or a "British Roman Catholic". Come to think of it, I've never heard anyone referred to as an "Italian Catholic".
So - why has the term "British Muslim" come into being? Has the media decided to invent this new term?
It's about time this stopped. Live by British "values" (one, for example, being "don't kill people just because they don't believe the same thing as you"), and you can call yourself "British". Otherwise, don't.
"British" relates to nationality. "Muslim" relates to a religion. The two don't necessarily go hand-in-hand.

Northern Ireland is in Britain. For two decades two factions fought, British Catholics and British Protestants and yes, despite British values, they did kill each other and, one group killed innocents on the mainland too.

Many apologies. I did do a bit of research on Northern Ireland, but my research only showed the factions listed as Catholics or Protestants, without the "British" prefix!
I stand corrected!

If you were a suspected football hooligan you would have your passport suspended and wouldn't be able to travel, yet quite a few of these suspected terrorist are travelling the world freely. If in doubt stop the suspects travelling or give them a one way ticket.

A football hooligan, charged and on bail or convicted might have their passport removed but not, if they were just suspected.

Difficult with only one syllable. However, best to describe is most European governments are too afraid to step on Muslim toes and violate their "rights" (if one now can call it rights) Too afraid to end up being called a racist for having an opinion on migration-laws. Stupid, yes but unfortunately today's reality. But, a one-syllable word could be DUNCE

I don't understand why Britain and other European countries can't do something similar to how it works in the US. If you are convicted of a felony, no matter the nationality, your passport is taken away. And in most cases you cannot get it back in several years. And if you are convicted of a misdemeanor you should get restrictions on travel. Again, no matter the nationality.
Also, in the US you will be deported pretty much immediately if you commit a crime while you only have a green card and not yet naturalized. Unlike here in Europe you will NOT be let go to wait for an order of deportation. No, you will be taken into custody and kept there until you're put on a plane back to where you came from.
