They have expensive cycle lanes built exclusively for their use at other road user's expense and then ignore them causing delays on the now reduced width carriageways. Just to stop accusations of bias, I do also ride a bike.

Registration has to be done for all electric bikes and scooter before 2027 applys to new and old

Most people around here who ride so-called 'e-bikes' actually have 'pedal-assisted bicycles' which are definitely not "powered exclusively by electric motors" and are specifically exempted from the legislation according to that article from N332. They are known as EAPCs, not VMPs, and have their own legal requirements, maximum assisted speed etc. I've noticed now that Whelts said basically the same thing near the start of the thread!
