Non Lucrative Visa Application - London

Non Lucrative Visa Application - London

Postby T&AWarren » Thu Jul 15, 2021 4:38 pm

Ive been trying to get an appointment with the Spanish Consulate in London for over a month now but never get a reply, only an automated one. Unfortunately my 3 month expiry date on my medical certificate and criminal records check is about to expire so time is pressing. My solicitor based in Barcelona is also having the same problem all emails are ignored. Although the closest consulate to me is London does anyone know if I will be able to use Manchester instead? People do seem to be having more success with them.

Hi, we are having the same problem. It would be interesting to know whether we could use Manchester too.

You can use Manchester if you live in the area they cover and is listed on their drop down list on the website

Thanks guys for your response.

I have seen the drop down list regarding areas they cover. Our situation is that our property in the London consulate catchment area is lived in by our son and we only use it as a postal address. We have been in Yorkshire since lockdown was eased and will stay here until the end of December if need be but I guess its stretching it a bit to say that this is our place of residence. We can only give it a try.

An update from the Consulate in Manchester.

As our official address is in Cambridgeshire, i.e postal address, we therefore have to use the London office.

Back to waiting for an appointment i'm afraid.

Four months since I applied from my Devon home for a visa non-lucra appointment at the London consulate. Likewise no response. All my legalised documentation that they would require are now past the consulate’s 3-month timespan. I’d love to hear from anybody who is in either a similar situation or perhaps more useful, who has overcome the Spanish visa situation. Rob
