Not exactly going well, is it?

Both of the main players have denied the allegations and I suppose its now up to cummings to back up his assertions
Yes, it will be interesting -
- from most minuted meetings, the usual result is to take the number of participants and, at a later time, you will have the number of opinions about what was actually said or the tone in which it was said -
Look at the record - every major UK political event since Churchill / Chamberlain (with Halifax in the wings) and that of every subsequent Prime Minister - particularly the great team of Blair/Brown - this is not unexpected or, unfortunately, surprising.

Don't forget Cummings has an axe to grind after being pushed out.
I recall when he was in office that there where constant calls to get rid of him, due partly to dishonesty.
So I doubt we can believe too much of what he says, considering he is trying to throw his old colleagues under the bus.

To avoid later misinterpretation, at high level meetings, where important decisions are taken or actions are placed, the minute secretary will initially sent a draft to the Chairman for approval and then to action addressees for concurrence/proposed amendment.
However, cummings' evidence, if it exists, will probably also be in texts, emails, perhaps recorded telephone calls and witness corroboration. Its hancock's turn in a couple of weeks and no doubt, depending on cummings evidence, there will be close attention paid to his hooter for the Pinocchio effect.

Well this is turning out to be a very interesting read, not!
To be honest I hear how bad the UK is on this forum all the time and wonder if any of the main Brit Bashers actually know what's going on in Spain? We are in a complete mess, the government has been passing laws under the cover of the pandemic. The fake news law, the government if it doesn't agree with a story can now silence news outlets from broadcasting it. A very popular morning DJ Javier Cardenas was fired from his long running show as he was too vocal, the station was partly owned by the government.
Also the Autonomo payment for self employed possibly raising to 1,200€ per month from 294€! Depending on earnings. This is before you actually invoice any money.
As with all countries the tax man will need his money back he paid out for Covid and we will all pay that's for sure. So before you continue bashing the Brits take a look in your own back yards as it's not going to get better here for a while.

Makes me wonder why you bothered. I am not a Brit Basher and I suspect there are very few, if any on this forum. Brit Basher is tory rhetoric for anyone who criticises them and their policies-it goes with their revived fascination with the Union flag. The insulting phrase is often employed on the forum by some.
What I am objecting to is the way UK is being ruined, and people have died, because of the ineptitude of the current self serving, lying govt. An embarrassing PM, unfit for purpose and a cabinet mainly comprised of mendacious nodding puppets.
As long as the lions are led by these donkeys, I will continue to Bash Bozo and his motley crew, because I love the country of my birth.

Couldn't have put in it better myself.
Can't believe people who think it's ok for Johnson to flout the rules and laws and just shrug their shoulders and say well that's the way he is.

Going back to title of post I think everything has gone as experts (not politicians) predicted. Starting with leaving EU and then hand over problems and then dealing with Covid.
So if things are going as predicted how can we say not going well.
On the other hand, although I was previously not a Brexiteer, Covid has shown some of the possible benefits of going our own way and the drawbacks of being part of a larger group.
Still not sure it's good economic plan tho.

Not sure I am getting the logic of " how can we say not going well", most of the credible 'experts' said UK was jumping off a cliff. Maybe their predictions are going well.
Also hancock's at the Pinocchio trick again. The UK became the first Western country to approve a Covid vaccine, but Brexit wasn’t the reason why. The other salient point is that nobody is safe until everyone on the planet is vaccinated.
