Passport - exit stamp the

We are residents, passports not stamped in Santander when leaving Spain but Stamped when we came back. so what they do is what they want to do the day nit always what they are meant todo unfortunately

They were keen to stamp mine when exiting from Bilbao but, I said Residencia and proceeded to fumble for my wallet. At that point I was waived on without being stamped.

On my return to Santander, I proffered my green Residencia card, the lad conferred with an older offer and I was waived through

I returned from The UK last Thursday I showed my passport along with my TIE. And was just waved through . It is not for residents in the EU but for people outside the EU that are not residents . Triggering the 90 day rule .

They had our passports and residencies but still stamped the passport on our return, really depends on whose on duty I think

On return from UK in Aug I failed to convince Santander customs officer that he should not stamp my passport, despite handing it to him with my TIE-he just scowled and stamped it with a flourish.

A couple of weeks ago returning from Glasgow, I encountered the same situation with an arrogant, rude customs officer at Alicante but after an ill tempered, aggressive argument I managed to avoid getting it stamped. He was so annoyed that he frisbeed it back at me.

Missus reckons I should stop arguing with guys with guns.

When I used Eurotunnel my passport was stamped by the French at Folkestone as I entered the EU area.When I returned to the UK I did not receive a stamp to exit the EU from Coquelles.A British border force officer glanced at my passport and handed it back without stamping it.Presumably it should have been stamped by the French but I didn't enquire if there is such a facility.So according to my passport I am still in the EU chipping away at my 90 days.My MP is going to enquire at the Foreign Office on my behalf but people could have problems later on if an officious individual trying to write off his country's national debt takes undue interest.
