security lights

Next door to me have put a very bright security light on their wall problem is it is higher than our joint wall so when it is on it lights up my pool and all my front garden also straight in my lounge and bedroom. As soon as I enter my garden their light comes on. I have asked them if they could lower light to below wall but they have not done anything about it, any ideas would be lovely.

Sadly several of us have put up with inconsiderate neighbours. I appreciate it’s not your fault that this happened, but to save you an ongoing issue, would a simple cure be a trellis fence panel in the right place to block the light? That may be no use to you at all, just a suggestion. Hope u find a solution.

GM, Jane Sorry to hear of that and surprised your neighbour has done nothing. There possibly is a legal way of doing something, but in the meantime, I would be tempted to get the light to stay on somehow and let them run up a very large electric bill ! Good luck .

If you are in a community, approach the President or Administrator. Issues like these should be discussed at an AGM and community rules established.
