Sons will be taller than their mother

Sons will be taller than their mother

I’m very tall and people still comment on my height. As a young girl growing up I felt like a freak but as the years went on I realised what a massive bonus it was! I could see above most people’s head’s. Not anymore! The kids of today are tall so I look quite normal Anyway, back to my story. My family doctor told me that there was a theory that all boys will be taller than their mothers. Over the years, I’ve looked at this and tried to find a flaw in his theory but it never happened until last Saturday night!! Cher was on the Graham Norton show and I googled to see what age she is. I continued to read about her life and read that she had a son while married to Sonny. I looked at a photo of him and couldn’t believe my eyes. The son was quite a bit smaller than his mother. I was bemused and kept pondering over this situation. I even wondered if Cher was his biological mother and it seemed she is. Last night I decided to do some research and lo and behold I found my answer!! Cher’s son was born as a daughter and became transgender many years ago. Hallelujah! Can you believe it. The theory still holds. Unless any of you good people can disprove it.

I believe it is a general rule of nature but with some exceptions (sure I read it's around 95%)

I am 5ft 4" which is around average for a woman I suspect, but I am the smallest in my family. The females are generally around 5ft 8"-10" and males all top out over 6ft. However my youngest son is only 5ft 7". I was concerned for his growth being so unlike his brother (6ft 5") and his cousins etc that the doctors dd some checking. Apparently I have inherited and carry a recessive "short gene" which I passed on to my youngest. Two of my Aunts also have it one being 5ft 2" and the other 4ft 11" . So far no grandchild has the short gene, but I am watching with interest the great-grandchildren. Weird things genes.

So the person in question was her daughter, then, as a DNA test would prove.
