TIE and driving license.

We have moved house and our driving licenses are up for renewal in February next year. To change the address on our TIE we have to go through the whole process again. We have an appointment for 29th January for taking documents and finger printing. Not sure how long after that it will be before we can collect our new cards. Does anyone know if they would give us some kind of documentation we could take to renew our licenses? Would the licensing office accept our present TIE?

You don't need to do whole THE process again when moving. We are just in the process of doing this. If you go on CAB spain there is info there. You need a digital certificate of cl@ve and can notify gov departments online.

When you move house you do need to go through the fingerprinting process for the TIE to show your new address.
As far as driving licences are concerned, the licence does not record an address. The DGT do need to be informed of a change of address and this can be done using a Clave online.

We have informed the DGT of our change of address.

We got a Gestor to do all our updates with DGT etc when we moved. New cards were not issued.

I would say the current TIE with your new padron would work, especially as you have already notified DGT. If you contact Clinica La Siesta they will take you through the full licence renewal process and tell you what you need to bring, Telephone 966784195 or WhatsApp 692134136. You can renew the licence there any time between now and its expiry date in February. Cost €60.
