Cat friendly hotels between santander and quesada

Postby Julie8710 » Sun May 31, 2015 6:35 pm

hi all,
we move soon and after reading lots of the previous discussions on here we have decided to drive from inverness to plymouth the ferry it over to santander.
our ferry arrives at 12.15 in santander which doesn't give us enough time to get to quesada to pick up our keys from quesada lets so we will have to stop overnight.
This is where i need advice. i can see there are hotels which take dogs but as well as a large dog we have 2 cats so we need to stop somewhere that we can all stay.
Has anyone traveled and stayed in a hotel that they can recommend.
hoping for something half way and i believe the journey is around 8hrs if i have done my calculations correctly.

Hi,
I see you haven't had an answer yet but hopefully you will soon - There must be someone who has done this journey with animals.

Good luck with your trip. Hope all goes well.

This may help..I think most ibis's are pet friendly

I found this site rated as a good one for searching hotels that are PET friendly.

https://www.seadmitenmascotas.com/

Basically the word pet friendly in Spanish is : (se admiten mascotas= pets allowed )

Or this one in English:

Hi Julie
We travel over from Argyll every year.In Spain we stay over in Hotel Palacios in la
Rioja. Its 3 hours from Santander, not half way but after the ferry journey it seems long enough. I am sure they take cats. The next part of the journey goes fairly quickly. You will probably know but a Sat Nav make it an easy drive, the tolls roads in total is only about 30 euros and is well worth it.Enjoy Quesada.

well we have struck upon an issue. a pet courier was meant to take our pets over and at the last minute changed her dates for travelling so we thought we could get the ferry but its fully booked! not too sure what to do as our van with all of our household items in it will take 2 days to get here and there is no way us with 2 small children a dog and 2 cats can get there in that time! so we are well and truly stuck to know what to do.
