dogs dirt

From the comments two events sprang to mind
In a park / forest walk in uk near where we currently live we were out with our youngest son and the doggy do dos each had a coloured circle around them. Different colours for different days of deposit. Our youngest son declared that the dogs must be very clever to deposit their doings dead centre of each and every circle. So why does someone put circles there? To encourage the dogs!
The second was in the square near the castle in Santa polar last December when a Spanish couple's dog deposited there - it was immediately picked up disposed of properly and then the I believe husband reached into the large handbag the lady was carrying and withdrew an antiseptic spray and cleansed the area - most impressed.

I must admit I'm rather starting to hate dog owners... both in Spain and the UK... I have watched their beloved pooches pooping and pi§§ing all over the place. For goodness sakes, keep your dog on your property and let it do it's business there. If you live in an Apartment, get a bird...
I really don't see why the rest of us should be dodging dog poo, or sit in Restaurants with smelly dogs and having to wipe dog hair off my clothes...
I was sitting at one of the sidewalk Restaurants near the Arches a few weeks ago, and this old dude with a small mutt walked past and let it pee right there against the wall by the chairs and tables of the Restaurant... I didn't say anything, just glared at the guy... but on retrospect I should have said something. I was just not in the mood for a fight that day.
I get highly irritated by this obsession with dogs, especially the Brits... the critters get treated like royalty and owners let them do as they please...
I had dogs, many dogs over the years, but they lived in my garden, pooped on my property and didn't bother others.
Sorry, that's my rant for the day...

And the adventure continues...

What a nasty thing to say. Not all dog owners are irresponsible. I tell you what annoys me, tourists who come here and throw their empty bottles on the ground, being sick on the pavement after drinking too much, causing fights and being rowdy. If I took your stance I would hate all tourists!!!!! I pick up everything my dog deposits...always on the road because I don't walk them on the pavement. So don't tar us all with the same brush. Every day a Spanish man walks past my house with his little dog (not on a lead). The dog wanders all over the road, has almost caused accidents and he walks on ahead while the dog relieves itself. To say you had dogs over the years beggars belief!!! My two dogs do their poop in my garden, but they also need walking and sorry, but I can't tell a dog when to relieve itself. Just because someone has a dog doesn't mean it's an obsession....it simply means they have a love for animals and I think we could do with a bit more of that in this world of cruelty.

I agree we definitely shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush !! I am very responsible as well and pick up wherever my dog messes I also try to keep my dog away from walls .... Unfortunately for me one day My dog did wee against somebody's wall the owner just happened to come out at the time, my husband apologised and asked if he could have some water to clean it ... The man went mad calling us all sorts of names how my husband restrained himself I don't know !!! And to top it all the woman came running out taking photos of us .they were shouting at us and swearing.. At that point we said we were calling the police ... They both had obviously been drinking. and retreated inside ...We walked away ... Oh yes and guess what after all that abuse we still went round with water to clean the wall !!! My rant over ....people can be so rude !!!!

If I see someone picking up their dog's mess, I always say thank you. Some smile and a lot look puzzled. I tried it once with a couple who did not pick up and learned a lot of ways of saying "relocate yourself" that is a tribute to the variety of expression available in the English language.

There is a woman walks a Westie up our street in the morning and criss crosses the road from gate to gate deliberately allowing it to do it's business. That is a deliberate act of fouling. Not the dogs fault!

if you live on an urban sprawl with no open space, the dog has got to take a leak somewhere.spain in its inherent way is a dirty place this includes dog muck, rubbish etc.you are always gonna have dog lovers who clean up and don't clean up, and you'll always have dog haters regardless of what they do.
