Where to take dogs off lead

Can anyone tell me where I can take my 3 dachshunds for a run off the lead. Have heard that in winter months people do take dogs on beaches with no trouble even though this is not really allowed. Would like to know of any places either beaches or secluded coves or parks where they could have a run, dont want to break the law but don't think these dog beaches suitable as too many other Dogs. Posted this on another forum and was bombarded with abuse about me wanting to break the law and pick and choose the law. Just want to know where and when I can take them please

The truth is, its illegal to let your dog off its lead, this is not being abusive, its the truth.
