Another great service from Dave Hudston , last Sunday evening noticed water gathering on the floor upstairs bathroom , Dave came round had a look turned of the water supply , went to La Zenia Leroy Merlin for a part , fitted said pipe. All now okay.
Dave thank you firstly for doing the job, secondly for rescheduling your Sunday evening off.

Were glad its Sorted Jan, water leaks can cause so much damage and stress, luckily we were in the house at the time.
One other bit of advice from Dave when leaving the house, turn of water supply externally at the meter that way if there is a leak its not charged against the property.

That's a good tip - We were told that too but, although we always turn off water in the house, we can't find the key to our outside box where the water meter is. We have looked everywhere! Luckily our bills seem normal while we've been away...so far!

Jan until it was pointed out by Dave we thought we also required a KEY but its just like a normal sink tap turned by hand.

Will look into it when we get there next time but I meant the door to the box (in the street) that holds the meter - I'm almost sure that door needs a key or anyone could mess about turning off and on the meter mains taps inside these boxes.

Jan just returned read your text ,we were left a pad lock key to access the water control door panel to get to the mains supply, that lets us read the meter to confirm usage etc and therefore give access to controlling our water supply. Thought this was normal procedure.
