Spanish customs

Hi everyone coming over in 2wks time arriving at Alicante airport. We will be cabin luggage only, could somebody tell me approx how long it will take to get through customs so i can arrange transfers to the resort. Thank-you

We travel on Easyjet just with hand luggage, it generally takes around 15 - 20 mins from leaving aircraft to leaving terminal & it's a fair old walk. Customs just give passports a very cursory glance.

We use Ryan air with hand luggage only. Can usually disembark and out the airport in less than ten minutes. This has been the norm all of the school holidays.

We use Monarch and it depends on where you sit on the aircraft - At the back, it can be 10 minutes at least after the plane reaches the walkway to disembark and at the front only a few minutes. We sometimes book a taxi and usually say a time of about 30 minutes after landing as when the plane lands, the time of landing shows on the notice boards but that time doesn't take into account the aircraft taxiing to the gate, attaching the walkway and opening the doors and then the people getting off and walking to the arrivals area.

When we collect our 'children' from the airport with hand luggage, we leave Quesada when they text us as the plane lands at Alicante airport, the journey takes around 30 minutes, and we are generally waiting for them at the gate, not often the other way around. So adding on 30 minutes to the landing time works for us, although we always tell them to text us any delays before take off.

Registered taxi's will always check the flight arrivals for delays before pick-up and they seem to know how long it takes with hand luggage or with hold luggage.

Thank-you very much everybody. We pre-booked our seats and we are right next to the middle exit door so should be off pretty quickly. Must admit we cannot wait and are looking forward to some much needed sun and hopefully happy bungalow hunting! Thank-you! xx
