Probably from the air force flight school at San Javier, learning/practicing formation flying.

They will do it most days for most of the summer. They are a pain in the rear. I’ve said it before, it’s an accident waiting to happen if Wing tips touch or mechanical failure. They should be out to sea

Please show where the disrespect was?
Simple question with straightforward answers as far as I can see.
There are also some who practice over the lagoon for fire-fighting purposes.

((Apologies, didn't see the one post as he is on my ignore list))

The problem with flying over the sea in general is that its very difficult to judge your altitude when you're flying VFR (Visual Flight Rules) as opposed to flying on instruments. The sea looks very similar whether you're at 5000' or 500' and its not always easy to discern the horizon either.
Flying over land gives you many more visual clues, and is therefore much safer (for the pilots at least).

Also, there is a commercial air lane just along the coast and out to sea. If you've ever flown into San Javier or the new Murcia airports then that's the route you'll have taken.

People around the Villamartin area are always moaning about the training flight overt that area on the Costa Blanca forum, but its not going to change. In fact, now that San Javier is now 100% military the flights will probably increase in frequency.

It's one of the things that come with living in the area, so probably best to learn to live with it.
