Accident

Accident

Postby Chrisdee » Sun Feb 10, 2019 4:01 pm

My mother was accidentially knocked down on Friday in the Quesada fish and chop shop car park. I have the mans name and registration and was going to call the police but I didn't. We got my mum up and she was badly shaken (of course she is 83) checked her over and she seemed fairly OK. Saturday morning we had to take her to hospital as her wrists were hurting and she had a fair bit of bruising. We checked in at emergency and told them what happened, she said we should report it to the police. We live in Torrevieja, do I report it to Torrevieja or as it happened in Quesada would I need to report it there?

The receptionist said I should find out his insurance company, I have found him on facebook (I believe) and have sent a message, whether he replies is another matter. If he doesn't and I report the accident the police will find him anyway with the information I have.

You don't care about his insurance.

Only if you want to offer him the opportunity to make everything correct you contact him, with a fake Facebook account so he can't find you.

I am sorry I think I didnt read correctly:
-someone hurt your mother
-Was he driving or was he walking?
-did he stop to take care about her?
-did he give you his name and registration?
-Did you go to a public or private hospital?

What do you want him to pay?

Yes someone hurt her
Yes he was driving
He stopped but didn't take care of her
I asked for his name and took a picture of the registration
Public hospital
I don't want him to pay - what for?

Hi Chris.
Firstly I hope your mum is recovering.
What is it you are hoping for by contacting this obviously uncaring individual?
I believe by law he should have stopped and given his details if someone was injured.
I would definitely seek the help of a solicitor.
I recently used Molina abogados in Punta Prima and they are superb.
Ask for Amanda.
Your mum may be able to claim compensation.
He shouldn't get away with it
Regards
