Most of the supermarkets have them including Gama. Pharmacies have whole displays of them but a bit more expensive than the supermarkets.
Some are pens, some are roll-ons, some are wipes and some are sprays.

The best treatment is natural aloe vera, which grows everywhere. Just cut off a piece and use the juice from inside the leaf. Works well on sunburn too

We use 'Detramax' cream, out of a tube from the Farmacia.

Actually, a better treatment for an insect bite is a steroid or hydrocortisone cream, but these are usually prescription only meds. I use a stuff called Betnovate, which is really for eczema, but from that point of view insect bites and eczema are the same thing, and it works fantastically well. The active ingredient is 0.1% Betamethosone Valerate, but any steroid ingredient works. ]

Betnovate is banned in a lot of countries as it thins the shin which never grows back

I get it on prescription here and in UK, but i have to pay full price here which is something stupif like £2 a 30ml tube. And yes, if you go mad with the stuff it can thin the skin, but ive been using it 20 years (sparsely) with no ill effects. I find you only need a tiny tiny matchhead amount to work.
aspirin thins your blood and gives you a pulmonary thrombosis if you take too many. You can find side effects with almost any medication. Its not unusual. Common sense is required.
