ALC Airport departures

Could anyone tell me how long you are allowed to park on the upper level (departures drop off) at Alicante airport.

Parking in the multi-storey isn’t very expensive. Certainly nowhere near as costly as rip off Britain’s airports

No, it means you have to pay to get out and, apart from holding up all the traffic behind you as you walk back to a machine when the barrier doesn't go up, it's also more expensive than just parking up in the proper parking area. (there is a booth to pay but it is often unmanned).

It's just over 2 cents a minute for the first 30 minutes in the official parking area then just over 3 cents a minute for up to an hour.

Or, to put it another way, 90 cents to park for half an hour.

No need to hold people up at the barrier if you overstay. At the barrier you can pay by swiping a contacless card. Very quick and easy. Not everyone can manage to walk as far as the car park and may easily overstay ten mintes. Have a heart.
