Alicante Airport closed??

No they're not.
Not one plane has left this morning. Either they are all cancelled or coming up "scheduled" but then not shown as left.

Yesterday were virtually all cancelled. Only a few were shown as landed.
If you think that's "flying as normal" then we have different views on it.
Only people allowed in on the very, very few incoming flights are citizens and residents of Spain who have been stranded abroad. Only people allowed out on the very, very few outgoing flights are non-residents of Spain who have been stranded here and they are for EU residents returning to their homes.
Rescue flights, as they are being called, are very few and far between.
The TUI flights yesterday were only collecting those on package holidays returning to UK. La Vanguardis says some flights from Barcelona to Alicante had no passengers on board. Probably just relocation flights or keeping the route open.

El Pais also shows ports and airports are closed except to those above and essential cargo flights.

To all intents and purposes, the airport is closed. Splitting hairs and saying they are flying as normal is totally wrong.

Yes no longer trust the olive press. I try to go to official sources. The departure board online is showing which flights are cancelled and which flights are scheduled

So how can an airport be closed if you can fly in and out.

Ryanair announced earlier that from today they don't expect any flights for the remainder of the month and all of April and May.

What bit about "rescue flights" are you finding it difficult to understand?
Here's and idea, pop along to Alicante airport and try and get on one. I'm sure they'll be very considerate when you tell them the airport isn't closed.

Nobody said you could go to Alicante and catch a flight, nobody is questioning what the flights are actually for, the fact remains an airport is either open or closed, it can't be a bit open or a bit closed.

Your earlier post where you said that, "Not one plane has left this morning" that statement is completely false hence it's total rubbish, as is the Olive press statement that the airport is closed.
