Alicante airport

They are supposed to reopen Alicante Airport at 5.00am in the morning. From the snow blocked motorway and roads I am surprised anything is getting through from Valencia by road.

My boy has said he was promised they are now definitely flying into Corvera and expect to land at 10:20 and be bussed to Alicante Airport so he can pick up his car. Misery.

We had to return a hire car to Alc yesterday lunch time and then bussed to Corvera by Jet2, the original flight from Alc was scheduled for 14.25 but they changed the time to 16.00 from Corvera to facilitate the transfer, the flight eventually took off at 16.35.
Please be aware if you are flying with Jet2, on their website updates at 06.50 yesterday morning they said that our flight was out of Alc as scheduled, I checked back periodically throughout the morning, the 06.50 update appeared to be the latest one timewise BUT the text within the message changed 3 times including the change to Corvera at app 11am....so do not assume you have read the latest, go into the message and re read it.
We had already reached Alc by the time we received a txt and email from Jet2 about the change.

Also the Jet2 pilot explained the Alc airport issue in this way.
Airside is open to the elements due to the fire but unable to fix as yet due to the storms, he also said that Alc would be closed today too, so be vigilant with checking your travel arrangements.

Alicate open, our flight landed ok at 10.30. Fastest passport control ever, i.e. there was none... they just bussed everyone direct to the luggage hall...
